Re: 50 States Strategy? (2.00 / 1)

I think some people view it as throwing away money when we invest money in Republican strongholds, only to have the same result: they vote republican.

Yet ignoring them (2.00 / 1)

allows the Republicans to throw all their money into Ohio and Florida, in which the end result is those states...voting Republican.

Re: 50 States Strategy? (2.00 / 1)

You do not win a war by refusing to attack your enemy's base. You cannot win when you do not play. And you will only make enemies if you refuse to make friends. And in this particular race, facing a Republican that is known for being disliked more by Republicans than by Democrats, it will pay off quite nicely. NC is in play this year because we went for it. VA is in play.

I don't understand why you felt the need to post the survey.  You've made it clear where you stand.

Are you sure you won't vote for Obama (none / 0)

Just look at your top 14 issues

Health Care
Jobs/Economy
Social Security
Education
Environment
Iraq
Energy policy
Taxes
Civil rights/liberties
Reproductive rights
Immigration
Ethics in government
Homeland Security
Stem Cell Research

Mccain will do nothing to solve any of these problems.

Hell, McSame doesn't even think they are problems.  He just wants to "Bomb, bomb, bomb---bomb, bomb Iran."

Disappointing to see stem cell research take last place.  Bush has done many inhumane things during the last 7 years but vetoing that bill twice is one of the most inhumane.

I think it's obvious you are a {R} troll now.  You post this hit-diary and don't response to questions in the comments.

Feel free to discount my honest answers, because I have a habit to support losers:
Gore (actually a winner), Dean, Kerry, Hillary (actually a winner, if you discount RBC crime and caucus fraud).

I smell bullshit.  You said you supported Dean but now OPPOSE the "50-state" strategy?  DEAN's strategy that helped us reclaim congress?

Jerome, I thought you were going to do housecleaning?  Add this diarist to your list.

How in the world could anyone oppose the 50 State strategy.

Re: official DNC 2008 Presidential Campaign Survey (1.66 / 3)

Either he's:
I - Being stubborn.  He opposed it in the beginning and won't let facts get in the way.
and/or
II - He's a GOP troll and doesn't like the success that results.  After all, there's no way Dems could pick up red districts in red states or compete in any non-blue states other than Ohio and Florida.

Either would make sense with his contributions to this website.

Re: That's exactly the opposite (none / 0)

so what:
Dean lost any respect during 2006-2008:
he kept caucuses, open primaries and early primaries and as a result we have mess, wrong candidate "won" and party divided as hell.
Whatever Dean wanted to do in 2004 is invalid now after all his mistakes. He has to resign.

Re: official DNC 2008 (2.00 / 1)

Got the same survey. I was kind of flattered when I got it though. I felt important heh.

My order was different but we mainly agree on all the answers. [But I am optimistic about the presidency]

My advice to the nominee was: Avoid the devisions the pundits and even some members of the DNC perpetuate. There is no 'old' coalition and no 'new' coalition, merely just a coalition of democrats seeking to rid Americans of republican rule. Seek support in oppressed demographics, for they will never forget the support and importance you draw to them and their causes, and will never undervalue their voices in the democratic process.

[and the question where it asked do you oppose the 50 state strategy, I crossed out 50 and wrote: you mean 48; but that was when I was angry and feeling rebelious.]

Re: official DNC 2008 Presidential Campaign Survey (none / 0)

This was worth it - SG got to put the 'MORANS' picture up again (my all time favorite) and the 'engelish' video which is also my favorite. So, as for me, I support engels's posting trollishly all the way to November, and hopefully after the election landslide of the 'unelectable' 44th President of the United States Barrack HUSSEIN Obama, he/she will stick around for even more 'MORANS' and similar stuff.
